The event will take place at the Conference Center of Las Vegas (CCLV) September 26-28, 2019. 6590 Bermuda Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

The three-day event aims to advance trade, investment, and commercial partnership between Nevada and Africa. Africa is booming; with over $62 billion in investment between Africa and the U.S., last year was evidence of a very encouraging picture of the growing trade and commercial relationship between the U.S. and African countries. Business owners on both sides of the continent will have the opportunity to take advantage of these opportunities.

The African Chamber of Commerce and Tourism promotes and connects business interests between Las Vegas and Africa and is designed to offer a unique platform for African and Nevada businesses and government leaders to network and explore practical ways to increase economic engagement.

This year’s event will highlight Nevada’s global focus as an attractive market for doing business in Africa. Africa is booming; with over $62 billion in investment between Africa and the U.S., last year was evidence of a very encouraging picture of the growing trade and commercial relationship between the U.S. and African countries. Business owners on both sides of the continent will have the opportunity to take advantage of these opportunities.

The 2019 event will be unpacked as follows:

Day 1 – Economic Summit –theme – “Advancing A Resilient and Sustainable Nevada Africa Partnership” – by way of plenary sessions , panels will cover a range of sectors such as energy, health, infrastructure, consumer goods, and creative industries as well as topics including, franchising, and the business case for empowering women. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with leaders in various sectors. This summit represents a chance to connect mid, small, and micro businesses to the global economy and provide a platform for companies to expand into new markets. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available for purchase.

Day 2 – Afrikfest Day of Culture – The day will kick off with recognizing 400 Years of transatlantic history and will celebrate the great legacy and contributions of Africans and African-Americans in the diaspora. Attendees will be able to enjoy a soccer match, authentic food, fashion shows, great vendors, and live entertainment throughout the day. This festival and carnival-like atmosphere allow our vendors to showcase their amazing products and services. This event is free and open to the public!

Day 3 – Gala and Merit Award – A Night of African Excellence. Hosted by Chamber Chairman, Dr. Godwin Maduka, the gala, and award ceremony honors individuals and companies of the Las Vegas and global community. Attendees are encouraged to add an African flair to their evening attire or cocktail/black tie optional. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available.
